For returning adult piano players

Come back to the piano.
Fill in what you missed.

You can play, but some of the building blocks never quite clicked. Strengthen them in short keyboard practice bites—or spend today with a piece you love.

Two starting points. No upload needed for foundations. Learn before and between lessons, at your own pace.

Try it at your piano

Two measures. One useful start.

Build understanding at the keyboard

Small practice.
Something that sticks.

Reading an explanation is a start. Play it, recall it without the answer, and try it in another musical example. You decide what feels secure and what deserves another visit.

1

Meet one idea

Notes, rhythm, keys, chords and their connections—introduced in a useful order, with familiar basics available to skip.

2

Put it in your hands

Use clear notation and fingering, hear the example, and work at a comfortable pace. The aim is understanding you can play.

3

Remember and apply

Return to the idea over time, then use it in a new example. Your honest self-assessment guides progress; this is not automatic performance grading.

Your other starting point

A piece you want to spend time with.

Open authorized MusicXML, choose a few measures, hear each hand and slow things down. Return to your place tomorrow.

Explore piece practice

From paper to practice, carefully.

Photo import is being prepared for piano grand staff and piano-vocal scores with the vocal line left out. It opens only after real-photo and playback checks pass. Until then, use the included sample or your authorized MusicXML.

We show uncertainty and provide a way to report a wrong detail. A confident AI answer is not the same as correct music.

The launch offer

Start small.
Keep going with Plus.

Foundations have value on their own. You do not need to import photos to benefit from a subscription. Paid enrollment opens after launch acceptance.

Free

$0

The first curriculum module and two score previews. Explore the app and included sample. Export is not included.

Proposed optional packs: 1 credit / $4.99 · 5 / $19.99 · 15 / $49.99. The final bounded-piece allowance is under cost review; we will publish its exact limits before taking payment. No unlimited-transcription promise.

Before you begin

A little more context.

Do I need to finish this before taking lessons?

No. Brightclef supports practice before and between lessons. A teacher can help at any stage; we do not promise to replace one or guarantee lesson savings.

Can I use foundations without uploading music?

Yes. Foundations and piece practice are independent starting points. Start with a keyboard practice bite and keep building from there.

Does it listen and grade my playing?

Progress relies on your self-assessment. Playback and optional MIDI practice tools help you work with the music, but they do not certify your performance.

What about a photo or a recording?

Photo import is in launch validation. Supported layouts and limits will be explicit before paid use. Recording-to-score import is deferred and is not part of this launch.

Can I practice on my phone or tablet?

The web app adapts its notation and controls to phones, tablets and desktop screens. Core practice is designed for offline use after the required content is available; imports and cloud sync need a connection. Physical-device launch checks are still in progress.
